Our position

VOD Streaming respects copyright and expects the same of everyone using the service. We respond to properly made notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and to equivalent requests made under other national laws.

One point of fact that matters for anyone preparing a notice: we do not host video. We operate a platform that gives subscribers access to internet television streams originating elsewhere. Where we can act on a notice we will, and where the material sits with a third party we will tell you so rather than leave you waiting.

Sending us a notice

To be actionable, a notice needs all six of the following. This is what the statute requires, not a hurdle we have invented, and an incomplete notice slows the process down for everyone.

• A physical or electronic signature from the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
• Identification of the work you say has been infringed. If several works are involved, a list is fine.
• Enough detail to let us find the material — the channel name, the title, or the exact URL.
• How we can reach you: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on their behalf.

Where to send it

Email the notice to help@vodstreaming.tv with "DMCA notice" in the subject line. We acknowledge receipt and, where a notice is complete and we are in a position to act, remove or disable access to the material within two working days.

Misuse cuts both ways

Section 512(f) makes it actionable to knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing. If you are not certain you hold the rights, take advice before filing — a wrongful notice can expose you to the costs and damages of the person whose material you had removed.

If your material was removed in error

You can file a counter-notification. It needs your signature, identification of what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was taken down through mistake or misidentification, and your contact details together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.

We forward valid counter-notifications to whoever filed the original complaint. If they do not go to court within ten to fourteen working days, the material may be restored.

Repeat infringers

We keep a record of notices. Accounts that attract repeated, substantiated complaints are terminated, and that decision is not subject to a refund.
