Privacy policy

The short version

We hold as little as we can get away with: enough to send you a login, take a payment, answer your emails and keep the servers upright. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you watch.

What you give us

Directly, when you fill in a form on this site:

• Name and email address — for the free trial and for any paid order. The email is where credentials go, so it has to be one you can read.
• Phone number — optional, and only used if we cannot reach you about an order.
• Whatever you write to us — the contents of contact-form messages and support emails, kept so the next person picking up the thread has the history.

Card numbers are not on that list. Payments are handled by the payment provider on their own systems; we are told whether a payment succeeded and nothing more.

What is collected automatically

• IP address, browser and operating system, and the pages visited on this site.
• Referring URL — which link or search brought you here.
• Basic service logs from the streaming platform: when a login connected and from roughly where, which is how account sharing beyond the paid connection count gets noticed.

What it is used for

• Creating and running your account, and getting credentials to you.
• Taking payment and issuing refunds.
• Answering support requests.
• Working out which parts of the site are useful and which are not.
• Spotting fraud, abuse and credential sharing.
• Occasional service email. If we ever send marketing, every message carries a one-click unsubscribe and using it is the end of it.

Who else sees it

A short list, and none of them are advertisers:

• The payment provider, which needs enough to process the transaction.
• Email delivery and support tooling, which necessarily handles the address we are writing to.
• Analytics, in aggregate, to count visits.
• A court or regulator, where we are legally required to respond to a valid order.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, in any circumstance. If this site is ever sold, whoever buys it inherits these commitments and you will be told before anything changes.

How it is protected

Traffic to and from this site runs over TLS. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do support, and it is logged. That said, no system on the public internet is perfectly secure, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something — so please use a password here that you do not use anywhere else.

Cookies

The site sets cookies to remember which pricing tab you had open, to keep a form part-filled if you navigate away, and to count visits. You can block or delete all of them in your browser; the site will still work, it will just forget things between pages.

How long anything is kept

Account and billing records are kept while the account is active and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Support threads are kept for two years. Server logs roll off after 90 days. Free-trial records are deleted within 30 days if the trial does not turn into a subscription.

Your rights

Wherever you are, we will honour these:

• Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
• Have anything wrong corrected.
• Have it deleted, unless we are legally required to keep a billing record.
• Stop marketing email, immediately and permanently.
• Receive your data in a portable format.

Email help@vodstreaming.tv and say which one you want. We respond within 30 days and there is no charge.

Children

This service is sold to adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, write in and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revision date at the bottom moves. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will email account holders rather than relying on you to re-read the page.
